I was inspired to write the song to explain how burlesque makes me feel!

Sapphira & Tonestepa are a husband and wife songwriter and DJ/producer duo, they are also the co-producers of the Ibiza Burlesque Festival.

Having rubbed shoulders with Smith and Mighty, Kosheen, Portishead and personally produced the likes of Daniel Bedingfield, Natasha Bedingfield, Sapphira Music plus singer/songwriters and bands across all genres, Tonestepa has a long legacy spanning 30 years in the music industry.

From touring worldwide and playing with his own band, Psalmistry, he has scope with live performances, album production and sound engineering that gives him insight as a diverse music producer.

A DJ/Session Musician and multi-instrumentalist he has performed professionally for many years as an internationally touring bassist, guitarist, pianist and drummer.

ABOUT SAPPHIRA

Sapphira is a burlesque singer/songwriter with international acclaim. Debuting her solo album “Mistress” she brings showgirls, opulence and burlesque striptease to the dance music world. An epic soundscape melding breaks, DnB, dubstep fuelled basslines and occasional haunting piano melodies.

Producers include Tonestepa, Audiofly, Doc Moody, Ways & Means, Alex Virr & Kayden. She has been in the studio learning with chart-topping artists Planet Funk and she is a Member of Elite Music Coaching: Sync Titan with Michael Elsner and Jody Friedman.

Highlights include publishing her 5 Star Amazon reviewed autobiography ‘Burlesque or Bust’, meeting Sir Richard Branson with her ‘My Heart Belongs To Branson’ YouTube series, opening for Dimitri from Paris, creating World Burlesque Day and the Ibiza Burlesque Festival.

Launching World Burlesque Day on the 26th of April 2020, she rose to prominence in the cabaret world for connecting 151 countries on a global awareness day for the arform she loves. She lead the world to dance on TikTok with a DnB rendition of “These Boots Are Made for Walkin” and her own World Burlesque Day Anthem “Queen of the Scene” and “Do You Want To Burlesque ?”. Sapphira’s tracks with revered producer Doc Moody have inspired Challenges which have garnered over 400K views and entries worldwide.

Her lyrics are illustrated by Australia’s most famous living painter, Charles Billich whose work is in the Vatican Museum and the White House.
