Join the launch of World Burlesque Day, an international day and celebration of all things burlesque created by the team at Sapphira’s Showgirls.
World Burlesque Day supports our vision that ‘everybody should try burlesque for their self confidence at last once in a lifetime’.
The celebration coincides with the commemoration of burlesque legend Gypsy Rose Lee and the anniversary of her sad passing on the same day 50 years ago in 1970 and honours the immense contribution Gypsy made to paving the way for those who have followed in her glittering footsteps.

We invite burlesque festivals, dance schools, performers, teachers and aficiandos around the globe to join us on World Burlesque Day by hosting workshops, events, dressing in something a little burlesque for your day, watching a burlesque movie or reading a burlesque book.
