PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: World Record, First Music Tribute To Australian Art in Ibiza, Spain.

Australian-born, London-based performer and mental-health advocate Sapphira — real name Priscilla Silcock — has achieved the World’s First Music Tribute to Australian Art in Ibiza, officially recognised by Official World Record (OWR). The tribute honours Kylie Minogue, whose example as a musical role model played a vital part in her survival during a severe bipolar breakdown. The achievement marks a historic moment blending Australian cultural heritage with Ibiza’s global arts scene.

The world record features:

  • A performance of Nice Work If You Can Get It, and the original song A Life In Art, created with composer Marc Durif and additional music by her husband Tonestepa.
  • A feather fan dance performance of The Loco-Motion at the Ibiza Burlesque Festival, celebrating Australian pop culture and the healing power of performance.

Official Support & Global Links

  • The President of Official World Record has contacted Kylie Minogue’s team requesting a commemorative photograph.
  • Sapphira plans to meet with the Spanish Balearic Islands Tourism Board regarding cultural and wellbeing collaborations.
  • OWR will also contact RMIT University in Melbourne, her tourism alma mater of 26 years, now connected through its Barcelona office.

Sapphira says “I want to thank Kylie for being a role model of resilience. Watching her continue through every challenge inspired me through my own recovery and helped me stay strong as an entrepreneur and entertainer. Burlesque has been profoundly healing for me, and I hope this artform is recognised as a valid creative pathway to recovery.”

A Campaign for Mental-Health Innovation

Sapphira, who previously met Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson as part of her decade-long My Heart Belongs to Branson advocacy project, is now championing burlesque-based wellbeing programmes to be recognised under NHS Social Prescribing (UK) and Medicare (Australia), following her engagements with senior NHS mental-health leaders.

A Homecoming with Meaning

She now aims to bring the world record home to the Melbourne from London before Christmas to reconnect with the hospital that supported her during her breakdown and to visit KYLIE: The DIVA Exhibition in London — a symbolic milestone honouring the artist who inspired her journey.
