Billich
October – November 2024 marks the 12 year anniversary of my meeting with prolific Australian painter, Charles Billich.
“It takes a great deal of strength… to weather a life in art.” BILLICH
I am humbled to have been the muse and long-term friend of such a talent.
To commemorate the occasion, Billich Gallery is hosting a virtual sitting where we will recreate our first sitting at Graham Geddes Gallery.
This time the sitting will take place from London to Sydney via Zoom and it will also include a poetry and book reading of my forthcoming memoir sequel, Burlesque or Bust – The Memoir of Becoming Mystress the book rights of which are open for acquisition and will include some of Billich’s sketches, too.
For some years Billich and I have been co-creating my lyrics, illustrated by his work and this has resulted in artworks I have performed with in burlesque and poetry events including @poetrybrothel
We have also met in Croatia as well as Sydney fusing our ideas together.
He inspires me to write.
